Extremely expensive for microscopic portions that has no taste at all. Its a shame that their menu (layout) is super great for such a bad place.

I honestly liked everything about it... the sushi was good - it may not be the best sushi out there but it's not as bad as these reviews say. I liked everything about it, the staff are so cute and friendly, the music was perfect for the occasion when I went... It honestly deserves a 4 but I shall give it a 5 to even out all the rude and exaggerated negative reviews! So it's either these reviews were wrong and unfair or the manager has working on making the restaurant a better experience for us...

After reading all these negative reviews I still decided to try this place out and I did not regret it one bit. I booked at maki gourmet for Valentine's Day and the date was lovely. I love the place and innovative design, and the staff is really considerate. As for the sushi, there are some great original recipes and they are really delicious, overall not everything was perfect but not nearly as bad as the reviews here say. I hope the staff over at Maki Gourmet continue to work on the place and the food and prove these reviews wrong, you're off to a rocky but promising start!

The selection is good, especially the lean and desserts, the menu is copy paste from and international brand: planet sushi, the music is loud and the waiters refuse to turn it down.

very bad food, worst sushi ever, no taste at all, major stomach pain all evening, no value for money which is quite expensive ($50 /person). the look is great and trendy but more successful as a modern art studio than a sushi restaurant!
